AP Studio ArtGrade 11-12

Teacher: Marianne Wilson

The AP Studio Art program is designed to give highly motivated high school students an opportunity to earn college credit. It engages students in art-making activities and experiences that will help them develop into well-rounded artists whose work shows originality, expressiveness and successful problem solving.

Students will be expected to work through a rigorous curriculum designed to further their understanding of drawing concepts. This will include both representational and non-representational work, effective use of light and shade, line quality, surface manipulation, composition, and expressive mark making.

Students will also be expected to produce a body of work that is related and explores in-depth a theme of personal interest.
